My builder contracted your firm to build my deck over two years ago. Since my house is on a basement foundation, they do not include stairs down to the grade with the build. So the back door to my house literally went to nowhere. In fact my wife and my sister separately locked themselves out of the house and was stranded on the deck. With the addition of the stairs, that will never happen again, and we have wonderful access to our backyard.
Your crew went above and beyond my expectations. They were professional, entertaining, and even cleaned up after themselves like no one was ever there. The stairs are even better than we imagined, as they have been designed to complement the deck they are attached to. In fact, the same crew that built the deck (John and Steve, I think) also built my steps.

Since building our custom home in 2007 and subsequently needing repairs to fix some shortcomings, we have had some pretty bad experiences with tradesmen. But, you and your crew are the best we have encountered. I have always said that the staff (in this case, artisans) are a reflection of the top man and this stands true with A Deck Above.

We continue to gaze in awe at the tri-level “backyard” that you created for us, all 1,600 square feet of it. The quality of construction, thank you Dennis, is far beyond the industry practice of fair to good, it is excellent with heart and soul applied to every board and screw.
The positive, polite and professional attitude of your personnel was ever present even when our demands slowed your production and cost you money. The excitement of your and your personnel about taking on this major and ultimately “magnificent” deck project was just as appreciated as your fairness in pricing the changes that we made.
